Critical opalescence is a strikingly beautiful effect that is seen when water is heated to 374 C under high pressure. In that critical state, the fluid is continually fluctuating between gas and liquid, and the fluctuations are seen visually as a multicolored sparkling.
I think this is a wonderful metaphor for the creative process.

Dark times during RIO
Found some old storyboards from RIO. This is the lowest moment in the film. Jewel is captured and Blu is headed for Nigel's trap.
